The Sound of Silence(寂静之声)，六十年代美国二人摇滚、民谣组合Simon & Garfunkel(西蒙与加芬凯尔)的首支冠军单曲，词曲由成员之一的Paul Simon(保罗·西蒙)于1964年创作，组合也凭借此曲进入当时的主流音乐界，并由此成为一代人心中最美的声音。
作为一首针砭时弊的歌曲，Paul Simon在当时美国内忧外患的大背景下洞悉出整个社会对于价值观的扭曲理解和人与人之间充斥着的浮躁心态，以第一人称叙事诗的形式道出了“人人言不由衷，听而不闻”的虚伪与疏离。虽是首五十年前的老歌，然而平静的吉他伴奏下，其极富哲理的歌词却是让今天的我们听出了一份隐隐的焦虑与无奈--若是人人都埋头于现代科技所带来的霓虹文明，那么“先知”的预言便只能似“寂静之声”悄无声息地飘落回荡于无数沉默的井中......The Sound of Silence
